Mr. Van Prooyen has nearly 30 years of experience in B2B, B2C, and B2B2C tech marketing. He's had the good fortunate of leading marketing efforts for a diverse range of companies including Fortune 500 brands like AT&T, SBC, Ameritech and Motorola, overseas entities such as Cablecom GmbH, global non-profit associations like ISACA, and rapid-growth PE ventures with ACI Learning.


In 2015, Gary started his own marketing strategy company serving clients that included Zebra Technologies, General Growth Properties, Ascension Health, TimelyMD, Havi Group, Bulldog, Payway, MIS Training Institute, Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), and Berkshire Hathaway. 


Gary is passionate about brand storytelling and purpose-driven brands having launched the Motorola Solutions brand effort with the guidance of purpose advocates Jim Stengel (P&G) and Roy Spence (GSD&M).  The effort was awarded “B2B Campaign of the Year” in 2011. Gary is passionate about marketing innovation and has two U.S. Patents to his name.


Mr. Van Prooyen received a Masters Degree in advertising from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Calvin University.
